Cleaning Your Drip-tray
One of the main reasons for purchasing a Nespresso® machine (besides having access to the delicious blends produced by Coffee Capsules 2U) is the ease and simplicity of the machines, but most of all how quickly you can produce a café quality coffee at home without the mess. Bypassing the need to grind your own beans, fill the Portafilter (the basket that holds the coffee) and heat and froth the milk, Nespresso® machines have revolutionised how we enjoy our morning cup of Joe at home.
However while we delight in not having to measure out the exact quantity of coffee and ratio to water, one of the often-overlooked parts of the machine is the drip tray that builds up residue over time. With extended use, certain bacteria can develop in your drip tray, and it’s important to take simple steps to ensure this isn’t the case in your coffee machine at home or in the office.
It’s important to remember to wash out the drip tray after every use. Even if it’s just a quick rinse, this will go a long way to stop the spread of germs. Of course, every once in a while, remember to give the drip tray a thorough wash, getting in the crevices and washing our any errant coffee grinds that you may have missed. This way, you can continue to enjoy to the benefits of our world class Coffee Capsules 2U blends, without having to worry about what’s lurking beneath the cup that’s about to wake you up!
